BINDING

Miki can help you get your beautiful quilt finished so it is ready for gifting. Many people prepare their own binding and have it attached in the studio so it is trimmed and ready for them to hand finish when they pick up the quilt. Pricing is based on the lineal inch using the measurements of all four sides of your quilt.
Prepare Binding Strips $.04 per inch
You bring the fabric and Miki will cut it into 2¼” – 2½” strips and join them with diagonal seams. The finished long binding strip will be pressed in half so it is ready to be attached to your quilt.
Attach Binding by Machine $.04 per inch
You bring the prepared finished long binding strip with your quilt top. After the quilting is completed, Miki will attach the binding and trim the excess batting and backing so it is ready for you to finish. Trimming fee is waived.
Hand Finished Binding $.15 per inch
Tidy blind hem stitches by hand will finish your binding beautifully. So handy when you are pressed for sewing time!

Some border designs require unloading, turning the quilt 90 degrees and reloading it on the frame.
1" Trimming Fee $5.00
Have your batting and backing trimmed 1" larger than the quilt top. This is very handy if your home sewing studio has limited space to spread out your quilt for trimming.
