Batting affects the look, weight, and warmth of your quilt. Which batting is the "best" is really a matter of personal choice. A variety of batting products are kept in stock at the Heartmade For You studio so you can choose from the best battings on the market.
Batting may be purchased with or without quilting services.

| Airtex 16oz Trapunto High-loft Polyester $5.00 per yard - 96” wide
High-loft (approx. 5/8" loft) 100% Polyester Bonded Batting is exceptional for machine quilting, tied quilts and comforters, as well as all other sewing projects. It can also be used for sleeping bags, home decorating and crafts. Consistent in loft and quality, resists bearding, is non-allergenic, easy handling and extra resilient.

| Hobbs 80/20 Heirloom Blend $7.50 per yard - 108” wide
This blend is 80% unbleached cotton and 20% polyester, is lightly needle punched and lightly resin bonded. It can be quilted by hand or machine up to 4” apart and is washable with shrinkage of 3-5%. Can be prewashed to minimize shrinkage.

| Hobbs Polydown Low-loft Polyester $5.25 per yard - 108” wide
Utilizing siliconized (slick) fibers and resin bonded to resist fiber migration. Polydown is non-allergenic, washable and can be quilted up to 4-6” apart. Hand quilters will especially appreciate quilting the soft, silky fibers.

| Hobbs Thermore Polyester $3.75 per yard - 45” wide
This is a thin, drapable, migration free polyester batt. Considered the premium polyester batting for apparel, miniatures and other projects requiring a thin, non-bearding batting and can be quilted up to 6-8” apart. It is wonderful to quilt by hand or machine.

| Hobbs Washable Wool $14.75 per yard - 108” wide
Washable wool that has been resin bonded to resist fiber migration. Wool breathes better than other fibers and acts like a natural insulator helping to maintain comfort in summer or winter. Wool is exceptionally easy to quilt by hand or machine with quilt spacing up to 4” apart.

| Quilter’s Dream Blend 70/30 $8.50 per yard - 121” wide
Dream Blend for Machines is 70% Cotton blended with 30% Fine Denier Poly Microfibers creating the perfect batting especially developed for machine quilting. These perfectly blended fibers are carded and crosslapped for a smooth consistent web that is layered on to a light scrim and specially needlepunched.

| Quilter’s Dream Angel $9.75 per yard - 92” wide
Dream Angel is made of fibers which are inherently flame retardant. They are designed not to melt or flow when in contact with flame. Together they form a flame retardant batting which will not wash out. The batting is not sprayed with chemical additives and there are no PBDE's additives. Dream Angel was tested by an independent laboratory and meets both international standards and the NEW DRAFT CAL 604.
Dream Angel has a wonderfully natural look and feel. The fibers are needlepunched into a beautiful, soft, cozy batting, very resistant to creasing. No need to prewash! Heavenly for both hand and machine quilting. Confidently stitch up to 6" apart. It drapes beautifully. Finished quilt may be machine washed and dried.

| Quilter’s Dream Cotton Deluxe Loft $15.00 per yard - 121” wide
Quilters Dream Cotton starts with the finest USA cotton and is carded, crosslapped and specially needlepunched. It has a very high thermal value (R=3.8) warm yet light.
Stitching up to 8" apart allows quilters wonderful freedom of design. Needles (by machine and hand) glide smoothly through the fine, consistent, even webbing. The finished quilt may be machine washed and dried. Shrinkage is minimal. Drapes beautifully giving a traditional look and feel to your quilt.

| Quilter’s Midnight Dream Black Polyester Select Loft $7.00 per yard - 121" wide
Midnight Black Dream Poly is a rich black batting that is wonderful with dark and bright colored fabrics. Midnight Black Dream Poly is highly recommended for use with all black fabrics. It also is excellent with red, maroon, brown, green, navy and other deep and vivid fabric colors. If your quilt has a light side and a dark side - Midnight Black Dream Poly can be easily layered with one of Quilters Dream's white or natural battings.
Midnight Dreams is specially needlepunched for strength and does not contain scrim or resins. It resists bunching and shifting and is strong enough to stitch up to 10" apart allowing the quilter wonderful freedom of design. You can gently machine wash and dry your finished quilt.
